Welcome to Classy Classical at Syntagma Media.  My name is Adelle Tilton.  I have been following the trends in this kind of music for years, and covering it for various publications.

Exactly what is Classy Classical?  It’s hard to define because this isn’t an actual genre (although you can find it listed as a genre for the sake of convenience), but more of a state of being that exists through music.  Some call it mood music, others call it new age music, and many call it neoclassical, because it is the “classical” music of our day.

I think of it as NeoClassical Music, so for the purposes of this blog, I’ll be using that term.  Neoclassical is a wonderful music to live and grow by as it captures the spirit, or soul, or at the very least, the emotions of the composer.  It therefore captures our own emotions as well, as human emotions are shared. 

It has been said the music is a language unto itself.  Like a smile, you don’t need to understand grammar to understand music.  I will love showing you the beauty of this “genre” of music and I hope it will mean as much to you as it does to me.

I have used the phrase, “The Soundtrack of My Life,” when referring to specific pieces of music.  Listen to the music I send you to, and perhaps you will find that there is a soundtrack for your life.
